PRINTING INKS
Tintium 2500
series is specially suitable for the printing industry and is
suitable for inks used in offset Printing, Letter Press, Gravure, Flexo
Printing and Screen Printing. These pigments afford the necessary viscosity
that is essential for paste inks such as Offset inks and since they
are absolutely fast to water, "toning" problems are avoided
completely. Gel varnishes can be used to reduce the drying time which
suits Web Offset printing.
Tintium 2500 series pigments are also used for making inks for printing
on foils and metal substrates. Tintium 2500 pigments have a high degree
of transparency yet maintaining its tinctorial strength. High gloss
printing inks for packaging can be formulated with nitrocellulose medium.
When used in packaging of food products, inks made with Tintium are
bleed ressistant to butter, oils, etc.
For Gravure inks which require more flow, Tintium 2500 series can be
ideally used even in small quantities since these pigments have a tinctorial
value. And additionally, there is no tendency to crystalize in the solvent
medium. Though easy flowing, the ink once on the paper surface assumes
thixotropy resulting in very sharp images. In flexo and Screen inks,
the inherent stability of these pigments in the solvents make them the
ideal choice.
